There are two major events which take place in the Village each year.

 

 

 

 

 

The Garden Show is held on the first Saturday in August at the Playing Field and is a traditional rural show, with competitions for  a range of home grown produce as well as flower arrangements, cakes, jams etc. The day starts with a lunch  (which must be pre-booked) and there are various sporting activities in the afternoon.

 

 

 

 

 

The Fayre is held on August Bank Holiday Monday and attracts visitors from far and wide. Some people have even been known to arrange their holiday in Devon to coincide with the Fayre! In conjunction with the Steam Railway, a combined ticket for the train and admission to the Fayre can be purchased so why not enjoy two great attractions in one?
